    Pick a city or a road trip, your dates, budget and pace. LocalSide drafts a day-by-day plan around your interests, usually in under a minute.

  2. Make it yours

    Add, remove and reorder stops, change times and notes, or build a trip from scratch. See each day on the map.

  3. Keep a diary

    Write notes and add photos for each day while you travel, so the small moments don't get lost in your camera roll.

  4. Share with friends

    Add friends by email and share a trip with the ones you choose. They can follow the plan and read the diary.

Questions

When can I download LocalSide?

We're in testing now and plan to launch on iPhone and Android soon. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the day it's live.

How does the AI plan my trip?

When you ask for a plan, LocalSide sends your trip details (destination, dates, budget, pace, solo or group, and your interests) to a Claude model from Anthropic, running on Amazon Bedrock. Your name and email are not included. You get back a day-by-day plan, and you can edit all of it.

Can I trust the suggestions?

Treat them like a well-travelled friend's tips, not a guarantee. AI can get opening hours, prices or details wrong, and places change. Check anything important with the venue before you go, and use your own judgement about safety.

Who can see my trips and diary?

Just you, until you share a trip. You can add friends by email, and once they've accepted you can share a specific trip with them. They can view that trip and its diary but can't edit it. You can stop sharing at any time.

Who can use LocalSide?

Anyone aged 18 or over. At launch it's for iPhone and Android phones.

Does LocalSide track my location?

No. The app never asks for your device's location. When you type a destination, we look up that place name to put it on the map.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Profile and tap Delete Account, then confirm. It permanently deletes your account, your trips, diary entries and photos, and your friend connections. Can't get into the app? Email privacy@localsidetravel.com from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.

What does it cost?
